Occasions of Grace & Thanks
Thank you for your participation in our Parish Eucharistic Devotions – it was a truly wonderful occasion of grace for our parish! A special word of thanks to Chris Purcell, Matt Marcus, the Parish Choir, the Vietnamese Choirs, Fr. Paul Nguyen, Deacon Doyle, Brenda Lee, Deb Kerstetter, and the Knights of Columbus for their generous assistance. Thank you!
As we begin the Season of Advent, please take advantage of the “Giving Tree.” Also, make note of the many Local Penance Services that are occurring throughout the next few weeks.
With a bit of sadness and many good wishes we accept the retirement of Ms. Sharon Grogan, our Parish Secretary, and Deacon James Doyle, our Parish Business Manager. Their last day in the Parish Office will be Friday, December 9th. In response to these retirements, Mrs. Trish Wolf, our Bookkeeper, will step into the role of Parish Secretary/Bookkeeper. I appreciate your patience and understanding as we make some necessary adjustments during this transition.
Both Sharon and Deacon have been a great help to me personally, as I have spent the past few months “settling-in” here at OLBS; each are retiring and looking forward to enjoying time with family after many years of working and dedicated service to the Parish Office. I am so very grateful for their help to our Parish and wish them the very best! Please pray for them and their families during this time of transition.
