Preparing to Reopen: Volunteers Needed to Clean and Disinfect Church Between Masses

As we prepare to reopen the doors of Our Lady’s in the Yellow Phase, we realize there is no eradication of nor vaccine for the COVID-19 virus. So, we must remain vigilant to protecting our priests, staff and parishioners against contact with the virus. This means that all attendees to church will be required to wear masks and maintain social distancing. It also requires the cleaning and sanitizing of all pews, handles, restrooms, etc. that are used following each Mass.

We are asking for anyone who believes they can assist with cleaning the pews and all items in the church that may have been touched by attendees to please let us know if you can volunteer for this effort. Volunteers will be trained in proper cleaning and disinfecting protocol. If we are not successful in obtaining enough volunteers, we will have to consider other ways of ensuring the cleaning is completed after each Mass before we can reopen the doors to the parish.

Please contact Steve Grimme at 717-545-0815 or sgrimme2@comcast.net if you believe you are able to assist with this cleaning effort as we move forward with reopening.
